Enriching table eggs with omega-3 fatty acids by using ground flaxseed or a combination of flax cake and flaxseed oil in the diet of laying hens

The purpose of the study was to investigate potential feeding laying hens with ground flax, a combination flax cake and oil in production eggs enriched omega-3 fatty acids. experiment set up using 192 divided into 4 groups: control group; group fed flaxseed (10%) + (2%); 5% 10% flax. Each had 8 cages housing 6 hens, that is, total 48 per group. Haugh unit values, fat content, Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) yolk color parameters content were measured at end 5th 10th weeks trial. results this showed dietary treatments an impact on obtained for amount yolk, TBARS test. presented show average amounts alpha linoleic (ALA) docosahexaenoic (DHA) acids egg influenced by nutritional treatments, i.e. mixtures flaxseed, as well 2% oil, significantly (P<0.05) higher ALA DHA their compared
